Getting there

Getting to Katavi can be a bit of a challenge, but the journey is definitely worth it. Most visitors fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport and then connect to Katavi via either Dar es Salaam or Arusha. From there, it’s a short flight to Katavi. Alternatively, you can opt for a scenic road trip, which takes you through some stunning landscapes and wildlife areas. A 4×4 vehicle is required for the road trip, and it can take up to two days to reach Katavi, depending on the starting location.
